From Bruce:

Before The Heads Up Lock was a company, it was an idea. Not about a product or a market, but about providing people with the power to make their own decisions about their basic needs when it comes to using the restroom.

I have been to many single-stall restrooms across the country and have witnessed one common denominator. People standing in line (usually pretty uncomfortable) waiting for their turn. I decided something had to be done. So I put my engineering skills together and, through several prototypes (I call it trial and terror), I came up with the ultimate design.

I love solving problems. It’s my passion. I designed The Heads Up Lock on the belief that, given the information, every person can make their own choice whether it is time to go or not to go. We can finally make this happen with an affordable and reliable light system to let people know if the restroom is occupied from a distance.

We combine people with technology to maximize workflow and provide convenience and productivity in business.Today, the Heads Up Lock is recognized as the leader in restroom availability awareness for single-stall restrooms.
